The New Year is the Perfect Time for New Beginnings

When speaking to MorningStar team members or to outside groups, MorningStar’s Founder/CEO, Ken Jaeger inspires others to serve with words that go something like this: “Don’t wait to serve. Serve now. MorningStar Senior Living was started over 15 years ago by Ken who was born and raised on a large multi-generational farm in the Midwest along with his 11 siblings.  He says this is where he was taught the lessons of economy, diligence, and hard work. After a long career in senior living, Ken saw the need for senior housing that was defined by the human touch; and envisioned senior living that would “re-create my grandmother’s house, a place where one can go and feel a sense of family.”

Our Loving Communities Seek Certified Med Care Managers

At the MorningStar of Idaho Falls, MorningStar of Boise and MorningStar at Englefield Green senior living communities, our residents’ wellbeing and safety is our first priority.  This is why we offer medication management services. Our medication care managers/QMAPs are responsible for dispensing medications to our residents and keeping meticulous records.     

As a medication care manager at the area’s finest residential homes, your duties will include: administering and documenting regularly prescribed medications per the Medication Administration Record, observing the five rights for safe administering of medications and per physician orders. You will also be responsible for ordering meds from the pharmacy when and as prescribed 7 days prior to running out of meds, and as requested by the Wellness Director, to ensure that residents always have medications available.  

Currently our assisted living jobs in Boise’s two communities include medication care managers/QMAPs in addition to care managers, a Wellness Director/RN, a concierge, cook, and housekeeper.  Our Idaho Falls’ community is also seeking medication care managers/QMAPs, dining room servers and a driver. As MorningStar communities are true homes operating 24/7, many of our positions include evening, nights and weekend shifts and may be full or part-time.
